Boy, did I have my work cut out for the worst of 2019 this year. It was all-too easy to rack up ten bad movies, and that’s without having seen The Hustle, The Lion King, or Dark Phoenix! Continue reading

Hot on the heels of my 2018 lists, here’s my roundup of my favorite movies from last year. Continue reading

I (thankfully) didn’t have many movies to choose from for this list, but I assure you the ones that did make it are pieces of shit of the highest order. Enjoy! Continue reading

Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while, but somehow Fast and Fentress returned. Once I’ve caught up on my Best and Worst Of lists for 2018 and 2019, I’ll resume my regular reviews. In the immortal words of Randy Quaid, “I’M BAAAAACK!” Now, please enjoy this look back at my favorite films of 2018. Continue reading

The leaves are changing, the air is cooling, and Fast and Fentress is back with another series of horror movie reviews! For the entirety of October, I’ll be posting as many horror reviews as I can, with movies that span decades, countries, and subgenres. As always, the only requirement for inclusion is that I haven’t seen the movie before. Later today, I’ll post the first of these reviews, for last year’s horror-comedy Mom and Dad. So stay tuned; I’ve got some killer takes.

As I said in my Best of 2017, the ratio of good-to-bad movies was pretty decent this year, but the 2017 had its share of stinkers as well. Two quick notes: I (obviously) couldn’t include any movies I didn’t see (so you’re off the hook, The Emoji Movie); and as always, the presence of a movie on this list doesn’t inherently mean I disliked it. Enjoy! Continue reading

In retrospect, 2017 was an impressive year for cinema. Anytime I find myself having to pare down my picks for the Honorable Mentions, I really can’t complain. Now, without further ado, here are my top ten movies of the year. Continue reading

October is upon us once again, and so are another series of bone-chilling horror movie reviews. Over the course of the month I’ll be posting one review every other day, with movies spanning multiple decades, countries, and subgenres. Just as before, the only criterion for a movie’s inclusion is that I can’t have seen it. Later today I’ll post the first of these reviews, for the 2013 slasher sequel Curse of Chucky. So keep an an eye or two on this blog; these movies are so good, it’s scary.

Here it is, everyone, my ideal cast for the adult Losers in It‘s inevitable sequel. Note that I made these choices based on the characters’ descriptions in the book, rather than the kids’ appearances in the movie; though the two are generally similar, there are a few exceptions. I’ll go ahead and issue another mild spoiler warning for this one. Enjoy! Continue reading

Hey all, I know it’s been a little while since I’ve posted, so I thought I’d give a quick series of capsule reviews (most of them from my hype index) for the movies I’ve seen so far this summer. Hope you enjoy them. Continue reading
